Title: | Research and implement the security boot-up procedure on the radio unit (ru) for 5g base station | Authors: | Phạm, Xuân Sang Hoàng, Nghĩa Dũng |
Keywords: | Security boot-up;Radio unit;Base station | Issue Date: | 2024 | Publisher: | Trường Đại học Bách khoa - Đại học Đà Nẵng | Abstract: | The widespread adoption of 5G technology is bringing about many significant advantages, especially in the IoT world, making the IoT an even more significant part of our daily lives. However, to meet these requirements, it is necessary to construct a new complex network structure. As a result, there is a larger attack surface, which opens up a greater number of potential vulnerabilities. According to a recent report by SonicWall, there was an increase in malware attacks on connected devices by 77% in the first half of 2022. More than 25% of all cyber attacks against businesses involve IoT devices [1]. Because a RU of a 5G system includes both hardware and software, there are a variety of different ways for hackers to attack the target system. Because of its limited resources including power consumption, memory capacity, and performance, traditional security solutions designed for computers often assume more abundant resources, making them impractical or inefficient for constrained embedded devices. |
