Abstract:
Application-specific integrated circuit or ASIC plays a key role in every aspect of our daily life. This integrated circuit exists in every computer, structures many embedded systems, and even replaces humans in some critical tasks. The trend in AI application and portable devices has formed a boundary that processors need to be low-power and operate with high frequency, which is the superiority of the ARM-Cortex CPU structure. In last year project, our alumni improved this process core CA7CBL2_CS in terms of frequency. However, using the Innovus tool from Cadence, we believe that this core ARM Cortex-A7 can be further optimized by shrinking by 10% of area, reducing power by 19.5% while maintaining precise functionality
