Abstract:
The national forest area is 14,377,682 hectares, with 10,242,141 hectares natural forest and 4,135,541 hectares planted forest (December 2016). Only in 2016 the fires frequency is not high but more than 3,300 hectares were destroyed, most of which were due to late detection let the fire spreads, causing difficulty for the treatment. Therefore, on time detection of fires is extremely urgent.
In this project we build a model of the system which helps detect forest fires by using drone. The system contains of Drone, Android Phone, Drone Box. Drone flies in a determined orbit in every hour, all data of flight and image are processed by Android Phone. Drone Box protects and charges Drone’s batteries. Whenever the forest fires are detected, an alarm attached on Drone Box will siren. When coming back from the flight, Drone will precisely land on the charging pad, finish the cycle.
This project is the basis for future developing purposes, not only in forest fires detection which can be named such as human secures, poachers detection, delivering… We believe, with the successfulness of this product, Drones will help human in high risk tasks efficiently.
