Abstract: 
Scooters are the most popular vehicles of transportation that women often use in Viet Nam. Unfortunately, they get several troubles when they use the scooters. Especially, the scooters may over-throttle when the women push the scooters getting over the house slope. In order to reduce these accident problems, Slope Ascent Assistant (SAA) system will help users get over the slope without over-throttle. All things will be solved by pressing the button.
SAA device will push the arm of the pulley connected with engine valve and immediately control the engine torque through the opening of the engine valve. We also used MCU 6050 to calculate the slope to adjust the speed of the scooter through algorithms, based on different slope. In order to adapt with different conditions such as the wear of the wheel, the vibration of engine, etc., it requires to use Kalman Filter to tune a better result.
For objective evaluation, unit test and integration test were conducted by using test bench and debug program whereby the SAA system integrated into a scooter has operated under certain conditions. The overall results indicate a significant improvement with respect to size, stability and reliability of the SAA system.
